Da Kid Emm

Da Kid Emm is an electrifying innovative & gifted emerging recording artist, and ASCAP songwriter. He is also a social media marketer and photographer for numerous brands and companies. Born Michael Yeboah, the second generation Ghanian lived in Gaithersburg and Silver Spring most of his life before finding his new home in Carroll County Maryland. He started doing open mic and small shows in high school and found most of his success performing in Baltimore. His sound & style is described as “progressive conscious hip-hop, combining realistic stories with hypnotic beats & skilleds lyricism”. He has been compared to artists Ace Hood, Big Krit, Akon, and Lupe Fiasco.

Da Kid Emm has a strong growing fan base & has already shared the stage & collaborated with countless mainstream artist such as Drake, Future, Jake Miller, MadeinTYO, and big independent artist such as Snow Tha Product, IamSu!, Chris Webby Mike, Cam Meekins and more! Da Kid Emm has released songs that feature Mark Battles, Yonas, and Choo Jackson. Currently Da Kid Emm has been working with his in house team here at NSM ent. alongside Wiz khalifa’s & Mac Miller’s producer & sound engineer, Big Jerm of ‘ID Labs and Taylor gang. Big jerm has mixed & mastered all of Da Kid Emm’s music since their introduction in 2014, including his official debut EP ‘Here 4 Now’ with Marquee Music Group, released December 2016. The EP’s lead single You’ll Be Set garnered over 1 million plays on Spotify within a few months of its release.

The second single How We Ride peaked on Spotify canada’s top 50 viral charts at number 12. In recent years DKE has put out new videos, leading up to his 2020 sophomore EP release “Just 4 Fun”. The rapper recently landed himself a placement with Tresseme for NYC fashion week in 2021. DKE has been recognized in numerous respected publications, such as Vevo, Genius, This Is 50, Hiphopsince1987, Baltimore Sun, Yo Raps, Hype Magazine, NewSickMusic, ok-tho.com92q.com, FOX, NBC, CBS news outlets, and more.
