Baltimore Soundstage & Depth Perception Presents Jantsen & Digital Ethos w. Brightside Anoxex, Born I, Retchs

Doors | 9:00 pm // Show | 9:00 pm

Jantsen

Boulder, Colorado’s Jantsen has been pushing the envelope of the bass-centric electronic music scene for several years. Jantsen draws inspiration from his elevated surroundings, bringing together the influences of electronica, jazz, blues, funk, rock, hip-hop, and every single sound in between. Like an alchemist working his elixirs, Jantsen performs precise musical chemistry, creating new bass-funk gold. His musical style looks to the horizon of the scene, progressively pushing creative boundaries, expanding upon the typical to make them abnormal. Truly, the best way to listen to Jantsen’s music is to experience it live–the energetic sound waves and contagious stage presence are what make his show one of a kind. Jantsen’s music has been on the decks of many Djs, including: Rusko, Datsik, Downlink, and Trolly Snatcha. Digital Ethos

As a hip-hop fan turned electronic producer, Charlie Quigley is dedicated to making music that offers an escape to his listeners with no limits or boundaries. Though he’s only been producing music since 2015, Digital Ethos possesses artistry that can’t be taught in classes or tutorials — his innate desire to create and elevate electronic music is what fuels his experimental sound. He’s honed in his signature sound to the point that his style is immediately recognizable as his own, best represented on standout tracks like “Caughta” and “Heavy.”

His talents have driven him to collaborate with notable artists: Digital Ethos and Bassnectar linked up for the deafening collaboration “Slather” off Bassnectar’s Reflective (Part 2) EP. He’s also collaborated with Space Jesus on their freeform bass-fueled Mars EP via Wakaan. In just his second year of launching the Digital Ethos project, he joined REZZ on the Red Rocks stage for her iconic headlining REZZ ROCKS event in October 2018. Along with his notable collaborations and support from top-tier artists in the electronic space, Digital Ethos churns out solo productions with an intense passion for manipulating soundscapes.

He’s kicked off 2019 with his single “Like That” and a monumental performance at Bassnectar’s own Deja Voom festival in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Boundary-pushing projects are on the horizon for Digital Ethos throughout 2019 and beyond, as he’s consistently striving to create a whole new world for listeners to escape the one in which we’re confined.
